Alf's episode count this week:Two.

Now that he's finally found the right end of the stick, Townsend is back to being refreshingly blunt with Cash and pointing out the flaws in his behaviour. He did a better job than Levi, who just seemed to turn up to rant about "Why aren't you doing anything?" without having any real idea what exactly it was he wanted Cash to do.He did have some better points about the way Cash has treated Eden.Even here, Cash has basically fobbed Eden off and expected her to hang around Tim instead of actually taking responsibility for himself, blind to how problematic it all is.Despite her beating herself up, I don't think Eden's indiscretion here is really on a par with how Levi behaved with Mackenzie and Imogen. Still, it's understandable Tim would be upset about it, even if he's hardly a saint and maybe he should have had a think about whether an inappropriate relationship like that was likely to work out. Cash did at least take some overdue responsibility for kicking this hornet's nest and go to apologise to Tim. Given Eden's reluctance to leave the hospital before, it was a bit much that she suddenly decided to go wandering around on her own in the dark: Couldn't she have called Levi or Remi and asked them to pick her up? It's like she wanted to be attacked!

Whilst I can understand her concerns, Dana is better off staying out of Harper's business here. It's not like her advice has done much good (she was pretty much convinced this was a fairy tale not too long ago) and if Harper's determined to go down this route, keeping quiet and letting her make her own decision is about all you can do.

Nerdia I’m giving you some bonus points only because for some reason Rob waffled on about butterscotch angel delight this week in Corrie so well you aren’t the most cartoonist villain I have seen this week on tv but you are silly jumping out of those brushes with that needle that was funny I thought cheesy as hell and why didn’t Cash let the guy guarding Tim also to protect Eden?
They aren’t very smart in this town are they?

At least now Townsend and Cash are kind of on the same page  on how  to  proceed Nerida wise.  Levi is looking at it the way most of us  'normal' people do, wanting to know why they haven't caught her yet and why aren't the whole the police force out there  looking for her.   Nerida will be keeping her head well down, SB is only a  small place unlike the city.   Townsend did show Cash Nerida's file which is an unusual step as normally it would breach private confidentially but in some cases it is done if the patient/ex patient  is thought to be of danger to themselves or the public.  Cash did  put his hands up and admit he was wrong to take her at her word, but hey he's human and we make mistakes.  Both Tim and Eden were single when they got together whereas Levi wasn't, so not quite the same but Tim did think Eden was over Cash so they could take their relationship onwards and upwards.

I think Eden was advised to stick with Tim at the hospital as he was under guard  so she would be  safe while there. Now though he's kicked her out after her confession she kissed Cash, more than one though wasn't it?  OK Tim wasn't holier than thou but he did what he thought was the right thing by dumping Abby as a client/patient so he could start seeing Eden.   At least Abby didn't turn out to be a  psycho.  Another thing why wouldn't Tim be eligible for protection when he leaves hospital, he'd still be  a target?  Belatedly the cops saw Nerida on the hospital's CCTV.

I'm guessing Eden's brain wasn't firing on all cylinders when she walked out of hospital in the dark.  Was Nerida just lucky and where did she get that needle and whatever it was she injected Eden with?  Seeing as Nerida couldn't get to  Tim she zoned in on Eden saying "He's mine".  Eden had just answered that call from Cash so hopefully he's joined the dots and was able to track where it was answered even if Eden has been taken off to wherever.

I get Dana is looking after her big sis like Harper  has with her but Harper is going into this with her eyes open.  All she can or should do is be there for her.   John said  every relationship is different and there is no time limit on  how  soon you move on.   It was  a tad awkward Tane telling Cash that he and Harper are getting married so needs Felicity's death certificate.  Flick as we saw kept her maiden name then.  12th August, has it really been that long?

Well, Nerida has totally lost it now.I can see why Abigail thinks pandering to her delusions is a good idea but it's extremely debatable as to whether it actually is.Nerida's got an idea in her head as to how things are and how they're going to be and nothing's going to shake her out of it.We don't get an explanation for how she knew Abigail was at the caravan park, hopefully that will come later!

I can't say I had much sympathy for Cash and, frankly, neither he nor Tim have covered themselves in glory over all this.Cash's way of "protecting" Eden is to constantly leave her on her own, try and break up her new relationship, and point a paranoid psychopath in her direction, and even last week he was dumping her at the hospital rather than actually looking after her himself. Tim, meanwhile, risked his career and Abigail's recovery to hook up with someone was clearly on the rebound, and if he hadn't been so blase about Nerida, this might not have gone as far as it has.

Rose did a good job of staying professional and keeping Cash in line again. When we saw it in the promo, I assumed Cash was tracking Nerida's phone but seems it was just a lucky coincidence that he was standing within earshot of it when he rang it!

Whilst episode counts probably play a part, it was a nice touch to let us see the wider community's reaction to the sisters' disappearance.

Cash did well to spot Eden's phone lying in the grass, it  had all those missed calls on it.  He's got bloody good eyesight.  Nerida wouldn't throw her phone away and anyways she used it later to call Tim. Eden, unlike Abby, had been drugged with Ketamine hence her very drowsy state.

Mali so shouldn't blame himself, Abby was only going to the shower block and what was he supposed to do hang about outside and look like some sort of perv? He was there the moment she screamed out and got himself a wallop on the head as  a result.  I don't think Nerida  who is  unhinged but certainly isn't stupid  enough to book into the Caravan Park, she would have just walked casually round giving the impression she's a fellow resident.  She may have followed Abby from the Board Shop to the Caravan Park and worked it out that is where she is staying? Abby fought back so well and luckily avoided getting jabbed with the Ketamine which is why she was so alert  at, I'm guessing, is that old cinema Tim was talking about, it looked big enough.  She, Nerida, may have threatened to hurt Mali more if she didn't go with her. 🤔  Btw where where were the other residents when Abby was screaming her head off?  Another thing - sorry - where did she get it from and the needles.   OK Levi would accuse Mali of not looking after Abby like he said he would, but he did, well not apologise exactly, but sympathise  after a word or two from Kirby.

Abby and Nerida do have a connection seeing as Tim was   their counsellor and been 'dumped' by him. Abby can certainly talk the talk you have to give her that. It did calm Nerida down and once Eden was more with it able to 'confirm' what Abby was saying about how she made a mistake in getting together with Tim. If what Abby is saying to Nerida and agreeing with all she's saying is keeping her on an even keel fine and dandy.  Now all they, the cops, need to do is find them.

Cash and Tim both need to  put their egos behind them and start acting like grown men and  work together to find Eden and Abby.  Cash had let Eden  go and Tim believed Eden felt more for him than she really did.   Loved  how Rose put them both back in their boxes and told them to play nicely.   They did start working through Tim's file on Nerida and trying to work out where she could be holding Eden and Abby, somewhere that meant something to Nerida. Coincidentally that is what  Nerida was telling Abby and Eden about places they had been to.

Why oh why didn't Tim grab Nerida when they went in close for a kiss?  🤡  Or at least say he would stab Eden with the syringe to get it away from Nerida.  Boy the writing in the show just goes downhill more and more.

Why didn’t Nerida kill both Eden and Abby she could have given them both overdoses instead of dragging them to cinema haha cheesy very cheesy

It does kind of feel like there were a lot of big coincidences that went unexplained, notably Nerida being able to zero in on her targets like they're wearing tracking devices. (We even see someone asking how she knew where Abigail was in the recap...but then we don't get an answer!) But otherwise, I think the situation played out well and I think it's unfair to expect Tim, an untrained civilian who should be in hospital (not that he showed any sign of impairment here!), to act like an action hero. I do kind of wonder what the police's plan was before Cash went off script: Were they waiting for Tim to convince Nerida to come outside so they could run up and grab her? Not that Cash's plan of "Point a gun at the crazy lady and hope she doesn't do anything crazy" worked any better, but oh well, no harm done.

Rose did a decent job of pulling Cash back into line, at least temporarily. She was right to reject that call from Mali (seriously, what was he thinking?), although it feels like he and Levi should have been updated sooner rather than having to wait around at the police station for the plot to find them. And Rose gets a well-deserved apology from Townsend, who let his own prejudices convince him he should ignore her prejudices.

I guess it's right that Tim ends up being the better man, so hopefully his words will convince Cash to stop making a bad situation worse and hurting all the people he claims to care about.Another set of characters in need of a guest appearance but again it was nice to see how this is affecting the wider community with the reactions back home.

Coincidences like that do happen which is just as well as we would have had complaints of it being dragged out.  I'm guessing she would be hanging around in the bay but keeping a very low profile.  I'm thinking Nerida was hanging around the hospital hoping Eden would come out and just followed her, took her to that warehouse, then went back for Abby.  I'm hoping we'll find out  where  she got that Ketamine.  I think, unlike some others, it was played out well, no-one got seriously hurt.

Once the boys - sorry - Tim and Cash started working together instead of against each other they were able to try and work out what Nerida would do next. Even Townsend got on board so was able to gather the squad together.  Using Tim  was the only way to get Nerida in the open so she could be contained before she did any more harm.  Cash did work out from Nerida's cryptic message to Tim where they were, fresh eyes looking at the files helped.  Tim wouldn't have been in any danger from Nerida not now she had Eden to take her anger out on and the cops  were listening in so would have moved in right away.  As far as the cops knew Nerida  could have had a gun, they didn't know it was just the syringe she was going to stab Eden with,  all they heard was "finish her off, it's her or me". This wasn't the first time Cash  sprung into action before anyone else was it?  It was when he got involved with the biker gang,  he was supposed to be just listening in but leapt out.

Mali was still beating himself up by not protecting Abby but what he supposed to do, what would Levi have done differently? Mali and Levi were acting like anyone would if their relative/loved one was being held hostage and to them the police seemed not to be doing anything.   It was very telling that when Abby was brought back the  cop shop it was Mali she went to.  Nice to see later when Levi took Abby home and said to Mali "Are you coming?".

👍 to Townsend apologising to Rose.   It must be difficult for any outside CID officer swooping in to  a small town like the bay to 'solve' a crime , they upset the locals and local cops, treating them like yokels.  They don't want interference and don't want to know any gossip which may be useful. They have to kook at it objectively.

Tim was the bigger man and proved most of us wrong thinking he was a bad man and that he was a decent guy.  Even after all  what Nerida put him through, accusing him of misconduct  and trying to kill him he still had her interests in mind when he said to the cops taking her in that she needs help.  Then he  gave almost the same advice Gary did to Cash about not pushing  people you love away.  I believe Tim had fallen for Eden but he knows she wouldn't feel the same way about him which is why he's walked away.

Bit too soon for Cash to say he was wrong and ask Eden to take him back, Eden needs to get over the Ketamine so can think clearer.   Remi wasn't  a happy bunny though.  It's nothing to do with him if Eden does take Cash back but he was there for her  they broke up and knows how much it hurt her and doesn't want to see it happen again.
