Si-Co Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Here's Where The Story Ends by The Sundays Covered by Tin Tin Out People I know, places I go, make me feel tongue-tied I can see how people look down, theyre on the inside Heres where the story ends People I see, weary of me showing my good side I can see how people look down Im on the outside Heres where the story ends Ooh heres where the story ends Its that little souvenir of a terrible year Which makes my eyes feel sore Oh I never should have said, the books that you read Were all I loved you for Its that little souvenir of a terrible year Which makes me wonder why And its the memories of your shed that make me turn red Surprise, surprise, surprise Crazy I know, places I go Make me feel so tired I can see how people look down Im on the outside Oh heres where the story ends Ooh heres where the story ends Its that little souvenir of a terrible year Which makes my eyes feel sore And who ever wouldve thought the books that you bought Were all I loved you for Oh the devil in me said, go down to the shed I know where I belong But the only thing I ever really wanted to say Was wrong, was wrong, was wrong Its that little souvenir of a colourful year Which makes me smile inside So I cynically, cynically say, the world is that way Surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise Heres where the story ends Ooh heres where the story ends
Liz Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Oh, I love that song. Thanks for posting, I must download.
katya Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 The Kooks - She Moves in her Own Way So at my show on Monday I was told that someday You'd be on your way to better things It's not about your make-up Or how you try to shape up To these tiresome paper dreams Paper dreams honey So now you pour your heart out You're telling me you're far out You're all about to lie down for your cause But you don't pull my strings Cause I'm a better man Moving on to better things But uh oh, I love her because She moves in her own way But uh oh, she came to my show Just to hear about my day And at the show on Tuesday She was in her mindset Tempered firs and spangled boots Looks are deceiving Making me believe it And these tiresome paper dreams Paper dreams honey, yeah So won't you go far Tell me you're a keeper You're all about to lie down for your cause But you don't pull my strings because Cause I'm a better man Moving on to better things But uh oh, I love her because She moves in her own way But uh oh, she came to my show Just to hear about my day Yes our wish's that we never made it Through all the summers We kept them up instead of Kicking us back down to the suburbs Yes our wish's that we never made it Through all the summers We kept them up instead of Kicking us back down to the suburbs But uh oh, I love her because She moves in her own way But uh oh, she came to my show Just to hear about my day But uh oh, I love her because She moves in her own way But uh oh, she came to my show Just to hear about my day
Jess Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to this song again without thinking of my Prom - so many good memories: I sit and wait does an angel contemplate my fate and do they know the places where we go when we´re grey and old ´cos I´ve been told that salvation lets their wings unfold so when I’m lying in my bed thoughts running through my head and I feel that love is dead I’m loving angels instead and through it all she offers me protection a lot of love and affection whether I’m right or wrong and down the waterfall wherever it may take me I know that life wont break me when I come to call she wont forsake me I’m loving angels instead when I’m feeling weak and my pain walks down a one way street I look above and I know ill always be blessed with love and as the feeling grows she breathes flesh to my bones and when love is dead I’m loving angels instead and through it all she offers me protection a lot of love and affection whether I’m right or wrong and down the waterfall wherever it may take me I know that life wont break me when I come to call she wont forsake me I’m loving angels instead
Liz Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 You're lucky, Jess. The one song which reminds my friend of his prom is the Cha Cha Slide.
Jess Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 Well, yeah, the Cha Cha Slide was also funny....the teachers that were there joined in....I'll say no more....
Liz Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 Most of our teachers were so drunk they either couldn't stand up long enough to dance or danced with pupils (in a rather... ris-kay fashion).
