Well I thought i would bring this up again as there is quite a lot to say in my opinion about the 2006 eastenders.

First off, the end of last year was superb, great storylines, great episodes and generally a huge improvement that made me want to watch the soap episode after episode. Now i find it an struggle to actually sit and watch one episode- so i don't.

Both the plots, and the introduction of new charatcers have gone haywire, and the show is propbably currently at the worst i have ever seen it. There is the odd story i see in magazines that i really want to know about. (Honey's secret, if anyone knows what it is  ), and the rest is drowned out by character axings, recycled storylines, and certain people hogging screen time.

I'm not sure if anyone agrees, but i feel that the bbc, have gone downhill with both casualty and eastenders recently. I would be interested to hear others opinions too!

Liam

I think Eastenders is bigger and better this year. It has great new characters like Deano, Carly and Kevin. A good storyline appears each week however I can't wait until the return of Johnny and the 'thing' that is meant to be happening.

The influx of characters in my opinion has been way to quick.

In regards to the Johnny storyline you mentioned, that seems to me as if it will be a big dramatic episode or week of episodes and then it will be back to how it is currently.

I also feel that the Millers are being given rubbish storylines at the minute and this to me suggests a reason behind the axings of Rosie and Demi. These characters have proven they can be better than people like Keith and Dawn, yet the material they are stuck with means they have been axed. Martin and Sonia also get way too much screen time for my liking.

It's some big dark secret from Joe's past, but to be honest I'm finding it hard to care. Liam, as far as I'm aware Honey's 'secret' is just her pregnancy, as her dad doesn't know about it. Pretty crap I know. I do like Honey though, and she and Billy make quite a refreshing pair. I'm looking forward to the return of Ruby - do we know yet whether she's staying when Johnny goes?

I was reading on the net somewhere that Honey's secret was something to do with her not being meant to have kids and that's why her Dad is so shocked but I don't know how true the roumer is.

I thought that to the end of last year Eastenders really picked itself up but I've been a bit disappointed with the New Year. A lot of my favourite characters have gone (Kat and Alfie) and I don't think the replacements are up to the standard of those that have gone. Maybe given time they'll change. I can't wait for the culmination of the Johnny storyline even though I know what happens and Rosie and Demi Miller's exit storyline should be good, I'm just disappointed it wasn't Kieth instead. From what I've read it seems like there's some good stuff coming up. Phil comes back and goes to war with Ian over Ben and I love it when Phil picks on Ian: the tomato ketchup incident last year was one of my favourites yet. Also Grant's due back with his Brazilian wife and Sharon too so it'll be interesting to see the dynamics of them three together again...I want Sharon with Grant! I think by the end of the year Eastenders will be on the up again, I think this is more of a transition period while the new characters settle in.

On a soap magazine it says one of these characters dies:

- Danny

- Grant

- Johnny

I've heard rumours that both Danny and Johnny are going to die but I think the first death will be Danny. Has anyone else heard any different.
