dsingles Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Admitedly Eastenders need to spice it up a bit but I'd vote Coronation Street the most boring soap at the moment, all the storylines seem to be going nowhere. If I'm really honest most of the UK soaps (Im from the UK) are pretty pants, all the soaps that are keeping me entrigued and actually excited about watching currently are all foreign. Home and Away, Grey's Anatomy, ER, House, CSI and plenty more. Although hollyoaks is pretty good but it goes through its ups and downs. Dsingles xxx
Shaun. Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 British soaps are miserable. Doesn't stop me watching them though. Home and Away is just great to watch because of how much I love Australia and because of the fantastic storylines. In British soaps it seems to be a general rule that everyone has to be miserable and no-one can be happy for a long amount of time, it's pathetic. I also think EE is about to get a lot worse. Apparently Jean Slater is going to become a permanent character! I don't like her, or her voice and in my opinion there isn't really anywhere her character can go. The only thing I can see her doing is having a reunion with Sean and then becoming a pointless character like Mo/Charlie/Yolande/Patrick etc. God, I'm getting depressed just thinking about how boring it'd be.
Jess Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 ^^ Is Jean Slater Stacey's mum? Where else can her character go? We've had the whole mentally ill mother...unless she just becomes another pointlessly reformed character, whose past pops up occasionally to haunt her...woo [sarcasm]
claire_louise Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I thought he Billy, Honey and Petal storyline was one of the best ones for ages...and very well acted....I agree the rest can be rather dull and predictable. I agree. The only thing that annoyed me about it was the constant baby-name-changing. I know they got criticised for it but I thought they did a really good job. Even the parents of the baby who plays Janet said that it was realistic and sensitively-handled.

Completely pointless in my opinion. She'll just be another waste of space character, and what's the point? However, if she changes Stacey back into the grown up Stacey rather than the mini Kat Slater it'll be worth her coming back.
carmelle Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I watched this show for the first time in a while, as I had to kill some time...and I had never been so bored watching a show before. Stacey and Max (is that his name?, Bradley's dad!) - it's just so wrong and disgusting and that Sean is so annoying. I can't believe how boring EE is!!!
Shaun. Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Max is disgusting, I can't wait for him to get caught out.
Ashirr-Leigh Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 I can't wait for Max to get caught out either, he's just so sleazy and creepy.. Tanya could do soo much better than him!
claire_louise Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Agreed Ash. Stacey sleeping with Max to get back at Bradley I can almost understand, but falling in love with him? The man has no attractive qualities whatsoever. As for Sean, I used to think he was a good villain but now he just makes me feel ill. And May, Dawn and Rob make me want to throw things at the television.
Zetti Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 And May, Dawn and Rob make me want to throw things at the television. I actually agree with that, I have no idea where the storyline is gonna go but i for one dont care
