Slade Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 I really enjoyed last night’s episode. I thought it was a lot better than the one on Christmas day. Now that Kane and Charity appear happy, he seems a lot more likeable again. I have to admit I found it quite funny when he was trying to deliberately bait Carl, offered him a hand shake with that smug expression on his face, Carl reluctantly complied then when he offered to buy Carl a drink, Carl responded “Don’t push it”. Again quite liking Nikhil at the moment and he took Faye’s resignation a lot better than I thought. I’m really not sure if it is a good idea to go off with Mark. I think he’s having second thoughts. I mean as Jai suggested starting again might not be a bad thing just not with Mark although the fallout could potentially make good TV. Shame someone’s going to get hurt (and I’m guessing it’s probably Natasha) as I do actually really like her at the moment. Yesterday’s scene where she was playing FIFA with Will was nice. Oh boy. I really want something to happen with Maisie and Ryan (let’s not forget this is just a soap folks). There’s real chemistry there. It’s worth noting that episode before last when Maisie confronted Ryan about her feelings she mentioned something about just wanting them to go away but when Katie asked him to get her jacket from the office she followed her in and closed the door so they’re both equally to blame for what happened. I don’t think Masie’s been following Ryan around. Most of the times they’ve seen each other it’s been at the Woolpack which is where she works and the only pub in the vicinity. When Katie invited Maisie back to hers she was reluctant because of Ryan but agreed as to not raise any suspicion. A while back I thought there was something between them then it was obvious Maisie developed feelings for Ryan. I think Ryan subconsciously picked up on this and became attracted to her. To be fair I think they are both trying to resist but whenever they are alone together it’s as if there is an affinity between them. I’m glad because I find Ryan and Katie quite boring. After Ryan kissed her I think Maisie left because of guilt or she simply didn’t know what to do not because she didn’t want it. I’m going to assume that Zak going upstairs is because he was annoyed that Lisa told him about the nude modelling and not because he is fed up with Olena. Quote
Zetti Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Am I the only one who hates the idea of Maisie and Ryan, for me its just cringeworthy but it does give her a storyline! Quote
Lesley Bee Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Am I the only one who hates the idea of Maisie and Ryan, for me its just cringeworthy but it does give her a storyline! I hate the idea of them as well, not just because they are related, i just don't think they are suited as a couple. Katie suits him much more imo Quote
Mrs Bishop Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I hope Katie getsa wind od what Maisie is up to and slappes her right round her face Maisie trying to make out shes Katys friend and she goes and stabs her in the back . I can not believe Natasha dosent know whats going on with Mark and Faye hes been acting so suss for weeks now and the way he dissaperes all the time. Dose Pollard and Val really thing there so called fine restraunt is going to take off in a small village like Emmerdale. Quote
Zetti Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I dont think Maisie is stabbing Katie in the back because she is genuinely confused about how she feels granted she could do more to stay away from him but it would be harder because Katie is her best friend. Quote
Slade Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I have to agree with Janice. Maisie is kind of stabbing Katie in the back. I don’t think she’s entirely to blame as it’s just as much Ryan’s fault as it is hers. I do want to see something happen but they are not going about things the right way. The problem though is Ryan is caught between a rock and a hard place. He likes Maisie but not enough to know whether it’s worth finishing with Katie. Also his mum has told him she’s leaving and he has to find somewhere to live. Again the next logical step would be to move in with his girlfriend but he’s confused ATM. I was really liking Natasha but it quite annoyed me the way she went round to Faye’s house solely to gloat about her leaving. Part of me almost wants Mark to elope with Faye now. If he did Natasha wouldn’t know what hit her. I wonder if he would be man enough to tell Natasha to her face or would he simply leave a note. Looks like I was wrong about Zak and perhaps he is getting fed up with Olena. It doesn’t really seem like him though. Quote
Zetti Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Yes I can see that but Maisie wants to discuss it; find out where she stands because if she was the one pining for Ryan alone and Ryan doesnt return her feelings then yes she would be stabbing her in the back but I think they are both confused and its too early to say whether or not Maisie is being a bitch because even though I am not her biggest fan she is human. She is acting in the only way she thinks is right. Zak and Olena? That was weird, at first I thought it was because he was annoyed because of Lisa's nude modelling {good on her} but now I am not so sure. I dont get why though, still doesn't make any sense at all! Red Ranger 1 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 I'm really hoping things work out for Mark and Faye.I don't have any sympathy for Natasha, she's always been a cow towards Faye when she's done nothing to deserve it.(Well, at least until she started sleeping with Mark, which is ethically dubious even if in a sense they are still legally married. But then Natasha doesn't know about that...)Unfortunately, because Mark's leaving and no-one else is, it seems like no-one's going to be happy at the end of this. It's definitely all going to hit the fan with Ryan and Maisie.I really thought he was going to take her back to his place when they were making out behind the Woolpack and on one level they're probably lucky Katie turned up when she did... Mrs Bishop Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Please Ladies dont fight over wether Maisie is doing what its only a soap and at the end of the day every one is entitled to there oppion, but i feel if some one claims to be a very good friend they dont start making eyes and going all out to make them selves available to the friends boyfriend they would graciously stay away, Any way what about this flippin Mark wylde why dosent he just go and leave the two women to slog it out isnt that what he did 20 years ago with out a back ward glance he never had feelings then why should he now. Zetti Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 I actually have to eat my own words because Maisie was really horrible last night and Ryan was no better. Despite that I can now actually see the chemistry between them but I still dont agree with it.. Quote
