-Kevin-
Maisie and the screeching, and the wailing, and the gurning, and the wheezing, and the squawking, and the shouting, and the weeping, and the snorting, and the slobbering, and the snivveling, and the sobbing, and the.....GAAHHHHH!!!! SHUT UP!!!!! JUST SHUT IT!!!!! SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reminds me a lot like Charlie during the Grants return/Rubys her daughter stage! devon
^ More of it. I say. It's (albeit unintentionally) hilarious! Edited February 12, 2010 by devon
Slade
^^I knew you would enjoy last night’s display. I liked it too. More of the same if you ask me though with Maisie now at the clinic she’ll be back to her old self within a couple of weeks. I’m back to hating Nathan again. When he accused Ryan of only sticking around for his dad’s money part of me wanted Ryan to punch him. I’m not sure I like Ryan getting back with Katie TBH. He’s only doing it because Maisie’s off limits now and as there’s no one else around he figures half of something’s better than all of nothing. IMO it’s not fair on Katie, she’s only going to get hurt especially when she finds out Ryan had a thing with Maisie. She’s going to put two and two together and realise why he wanted to give their relationship another chance. It’s funny how Nathan wanted Ryan to stay away from Maisie but seemed annoyed that he moved on so quickly. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to Ryan and Katie assuming they’re an item by the time she returns. I’m assuming there’s an element of truth in the whole poisoned stream thing. I’m still finding it funny whenever Nikhil’s around Debbie. Quite liked Charity trying to get Debbie to give him a chance. Oh BTW as I stopped watching Emmerdale for a while could someone please tell me when they first used the dying Lambs storyline? I presume it’s got something to do with the late Jack Sugden. Apparently, according to posters at Digital Spy, they're gonna follow through properly with Maisie's breakdown with scenes involving her and her family at the clinic. As for the poisoned lambs, I vaguely remember the Kings poisoning Jack's lambs over some land dispute - the Kings wanted to buy a tract of Jack's farmland to use for an access road to an ill-fated housing development they had planned. Slade
I have to say I was really surprised and impressed with Nikhil. As Jai said a kind of role reversal with Jai usually being the calm one and Nikhil the uptight one. I can’t believe he did that without any ulterior motive. The Barton’s are in real trouble. Carl’s going to go ballistic when he finds out they were responsible for his kids going to hospital and he’ll especially want a scapegoat considering how bad a father he’s been labelled. I know they are different things as one was intentionally cruel and the other was through neglect but I find it interesting how Moira was so keen to think Carl would forgive them and give them the benefit of the doubt once they explained everything but she was not so keen to forgive Victoria in her role for the bullying of Hannah (not excusing what Victoria did of course). I personally think if it had been Moira’s kids that had be poisoned she wouldn’t be so quick to forgive. So are Carl’s kids still with him or did he let their aunt have them after all? Maisie made me laugh again. Even without the dramatics I still liked some of her wisecracks about the clinic towards Natasha. Nathan still proves how annoying he can be opening his mouth. Everything is Ryan’s fault. I suppose Ryan’s to blame for all the poverty in the world. I really hope Ryan goes to see Maisie just to clear the air. I honestly don’t know who’s worse, Nicola or Viv. Both are completely unlikeable IMO. You would have thought after spending time in jail Viv would be more open minded be she is just so judgemental. Nicola got on my nerves the way she spoke to Carl too. I was so glad Natasha put her in her place but the downside to that was Nathan’s smug grin. -Kevin-
I am really intrigued to see what they are gona do with Aaron & Adam!! Something tells me they are gona be the next big McDean!! It looks like Adam is completely straight atm but I can't help but read into all the subtle hints that are being dropped everywhere. After all McDean started out with Craig being 'straight' and JP only being gay........ Please get them together! Because at least the UK shows can write a fantastic gay relationship. Slade
Moira really annoyed me tonight. Once again referring to what I mentioned yesterday regarding her level of double standards. I understand that she wanted to protect her son but I still think if she wanted Victoria to face the consequences of what she did by the same token Adam should too. Thank goodness John had the sense to realise that he’s an adult now and has to face up to what he did regardless of whether it was accidental. I’m really starting to dislike Moira now. At first I really liked the friendship with her and Marlon and found it quite funny they way she used to flirt with him, tease him and he fessed up to liking her. Now I just find her, self-righteous, sanctimonious, up herself and for the most part quite miserable. The Barton’s could probably lose everything but I still think they did the right thing. I felt really sorry for John because he isn’t really to blame. I just hope Carl calms down then Jimmy can maybe talk him round. I could tolerate Nathan after the stuff with Leyla because he was hardly on screen but when he features so heavily in the episodes it’s difficult not to get annoyed with him. Again blaming Ryan for everything. If Ryan’s mum decides to obsessively pursue the husband she lost 20 years previously how is that Ryan’s fault? He didn’t know who he was and didn’t ask to be born. I think it’s pretty obvious he wouldn’t even want Mark’s money even if he was included in any will. I’m so glad he checked up on Maisie, it proves he still cares. devon
For some reason I like Hathan, ATM. I suppose it's cos you need a good old love to hate character, and plus, he's kinda the anti-Ryan character. IMO, Ryan has been acting like a complete tosser, lately. Carl King IS a complete tosser who's beyond all redemption. I hope he pays for all his killing...one day.
Slade
OK so Carl’s kids are still staying with him. After what happened last week it was disappointing him not wanting to spend time with them. He seemed more interested in getting revenge than actually being a dad. I find I’m just hating Nathan more and more with each episode. He was particularly bad in that one especially the way he spoke to everyone like they were subordinates. This is a classic example of power getting to someone’s head. I hated the way he threatened to throw the Barton’s out, took a cheapshot at Leyla, called David “stupid”. I was hoping David would smack him again. Didn’t like the way Nathan was with Holly and even Nicola (who I usually can’t stand). The worst was with Katie though. Why do people feel it’s alright to be horrible to her? It’s like every time she goes out of her way to help Maisie she treats Katie like crap although admittedly she wasn’t as bad in this episode. Again the way Nathan spoke to her when he told her the truth about Maisie and Ryan. I actually felt quite sorry for her. It will be interesting to see what happens now. I can’t imagine Katie keeping quiet about it. She might for a bit but she’s bound to want to say something. More to the point would Ryan feel obliged to move out now? If so where does he go as he’s made it clear he doesn’t want to be anywhere near his mother at the moment? Liked the way he didn’t take Nathan’s crap this time when he paid for Will to by a present for their dad’s birthday.
Red Ranger 1
You know, I loathe Nathan, I hated the way he was throwing his weight around in that episode and I cheered when he kept falling flat on his face, with Natasha overruling him about the Bartons and Carl practically laughing in his face when he tried to act like the big man.But I didn't have a problem with how he spoke to Katie. She barged into his home and demanded answers that he didn't want to give her.He wasn't particularly pleasant to her but for once I felt he was just being honest instead of upsetting people for the sheer fun of it.
