Slade Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Regarding Katie last week I can’t really blame her for wanting nothing more to do with Ryan. She trusted him, gave him another chance only to find out she was second best. And Ryan ONLY got back with her because he couldn’t have Maisie. Loved the serve Ashley gave Viv. She absolutely deserved that. She’s always sticking her nose in where it doesn’t concern her and constantly passing judgment on people. I know this mess was partly Ashley’s fault but Laurel is getting on my nerves the way she’s acting. I have to say I’m really disappointed with the way Debbie’s trying to play Nikhil. Problem is he’s so besotted he’s completely blinded by her intentions. Again Nathan annoyed me the way he spoke to Nicola. Not so much what he said but the way he said it. Oh Nathan it’s not your money that paid for Nicola’s maternity leave it was mummy dearest’s. Part of me was disappointed with Faye when she stopped Ryan from confronting Nathan although I was impressed with the way she handled Nathan at the bar. I’m glad Ryan told him to watch his back. Nathan’s just getting more and more obnoxious and unpleasant by the minute and is completely unbearable ATM. Quote
devon Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Decent episode. The stuff between Maisie/Ryan was well written and Ryan's scene with Will was touching. LOL, Nathan doesn't quite convince at playing the villain, but it's entertaining to watch, nonetheless. Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 See Cain's still got his nasty side but I expected better of Jai.Even if it had been Carl driving the lorry, hiring a couple of thugs to rough him up and rob him would still have been completely out of line. Shame it sounds like we aren't going to see any more of Fiona. She was quite cute. Are we meant to feel sorry for Nathan?Probably not.I don't, anyway. So Maisie and Will like Ryan better than him.Is there anyone that wouldn't?Does that rehab clinic have an open door policy or something? Both Ryan and Nathan just wandered up to Maisie without her knowing they were coming. Quote
Lesley Bee Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Who does Nathan think he is anyway??? telling everyone who they can and cant see if Will wants to have a relationship with Ryan thats up to him, and the way he trashed Faye's house, he's just such a despicable, nasty piece of work. ~Zoe~ Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 I didnt like the way Nathan was being around Ryan & Will in Fridays episode, and trashing up Fayes house. Think that Lyndon Ogbourne the actor who is playing him is doing a good job with the storyline though. Quote
Slade Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 I quite enjoyed the two episodes on Thursday and Friday’s episode. TBH I was quite surprised the extent Jai was prepared to go to shaft his own brother just to teach him a lesson. Seven grand is an awful lot of money to lose. Cain didn’t surprise me however. I think he would have been pretty stupid to hijack the truck himself so it was obvious he was going to get someone else to do it. If it wasn’t for the fact that it was Charity and Noah who had to bear the brunt of it I would have been quite pleased Cain realised his actions had consequences but I felt really sorry for both of them. At the moment I’m really not liking Cain. He was expecting that to be Carl king and was hoping the blokes he hired would have given him a good kicking. Even when he’s not engaging in criminal activity for the most part I’m finding him quite unpleasant such as when he bumped into Nicola, she claimed he hurt her arm and he threatened to break it (of course he wouldn’t have but it’s the fact he even said it). A while back I really liked him in scenes with Debbie and his grand daughter but I feel Charity has a detrimental effect on him. Still I think he’s infinitely better than Nathan – The spawn of Satan. Knowing how predictable soaps are presumably this is all going to come out. So I’m expecting quite a bit of fallout with both the Dingle’s and the Sharma’s. Relationships at best could be strained at worst ruined. Surprisingly quite enjoying the relationship with Ryan and Will. I’m really glad Ryan hasn’t bothered too much about what Nathan thinks. I thought it was quite funny Maisie going into one again. Every time she gets hysterical now it’s so funny. I’m really pleased Ryan went to visit her at the clinic and I really liked their talk. Ryan does actually make Maisie more likeable IMO. I’ve got mixed feelings about the whole thing now. I’ve really wanted Ryan and Maisie together before (I still do) but with Ryan almost taking Will under his wing it kind of feels weird. I’m not sure I buy that whole we’re brother and sister now so let’s forget we were falling in love with each other and try and form a sibling relationship thing. There’s bound to be some residual sexual tension. There has to be. I’m actually quite pleased Nathan’s starting to crack. He’s clearly jealous that Ryan’s getting on better with Will than he is. I wonder if he’s also jealous that Ryan is in fact the legitimate son of Mark/Daniel. He was the one who wanted to run his mother’s businesses yet he seems more concerned about his obssesional hatred for Ryan than anything else. I was a bit surprised he decided to ransack Fayes’s house. I dunno the end of that episode felt like there should have been another episode afterwards kind of like Thursday. I would love nothing more than for Faye to press charges. I can’t imagine she will though. A – Because he’s Marks son and B – because she slapped Maisie at new year's and she got away scott free with that. Quote
-Kevin- Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Oh I've just read Mark Silcock (Eli from Hollyoaks) is joining Emmerdale as a new love interest for Aaron Quote
Red Ranger 1 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Nathan has got to be one of the most repellant characters in the show's history.I was somewhat disappointed Ryan didn't do more to him.Again, it almost felt like we were meant to be sorry for him, since whatever marbles he has are obviously rolling around on the floor, but he probably wouldn't act any different either way. He's always lived under the delusion that people have to do whatever he wants him to do and now he's finding that actually no-one wants to fit in with his worldview. Still not entirely sure why Olena seems so keen on Eli.Guess he must have something going for him that I can't see.Oh-and Priya left.Given that I don't remember her actually doing anything while she was there, I doubt I'll notice. Zetti Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I am liking the way Lyndon potrays Nathan, so believable, Nathan's action are disgusting but Lyndon is doing his job well if viewers are hating him the way they are! Quote
devon Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Totally don't buy Cain and Charity as a couple. It's more about money, rather than feelings, between those two - and it's tedious to watch. Edited March 2, 2010 by devon Quote
