Another great episode of Emmerdale tonight... its on top form lately.. its really good at the moment!

I was pretty impressed with Cain tonight, fair play his reaction was typical Cain, but he redeemed himself after, because after all he is Aarons uncle, & Aaron looks upto him.

As once he got over the shock of finding out Aaron was gay...what he said to Chas was bang on. I am glad they had Cain's intial reaction "oh not aaron" because it would have been unrealistic for him to have been fine with it because not everybody is. The hate/predujice is alive and well in 2010 and for a soap to portray everyone as ok with it would be letting down what is a fantastic storyline.

Obviously Cain will be ok with it as Aaron is family and he looks after family but there will be villagers who aren't ok and some will voice this publicy (ie Viv) and others in private but aaron has to ignore them - he doesnt like half of them anyway so it wouldnt be too hard!

As for Chas, I do like her....but thought she was well out of order telling Paddy he is to have nothing to do with Aaron but I guess she is just lashing out as she is scared of losing her only son.....bout time too!!!!

& Adam, he was so lovely tonight..I love how he cares so much about Aaron!

This storyline has got me well and truly hooked. Danny, Dominic and Lucy and Adam have been amazing! I applaud the writers, hopefully Emmerdale will be recognised at the BSA!!

After Thursday's and Friday's episodes I've been quite impressed with several people.

Firstly Carl and the way he was with his kids. It couldn't have been easy giving them up like that but I'm glad he did it and realised they wanted to be with their mother and when he said goodbye to him that was a very emotional scene. We know initially he was struggling with them but I think they brought out a different more sensitive side in him.

I was also impressed with Nicola making an effort with Carl again for the sake of his kids. And I actually quite liked her scenes with Carl. It's funny for a split second I thought there might have been something there between them.

The person that's impressed me the most has been Adam. Personally I think he's gone above and beyond the call of duty as a mate. Let's face it Aaron hasn't exactly been pleasant to him and I don't think Aaron's been that much of a friend either but for some reason Adam never gave up on him and obviously thought Aaron was worth it. Aaron being comatose is really affecting him - a lot more than I thought it would. I don't think Adam's gay (well at least I hope he isn't) but he does seem to really care about Aaron. I was a little surprised Holly didn't go to the hospital but at the moment she is acting quite selfishly and not really thinking about anyone other than herself.

Cain was another person I was pleasantly surprised with. Considering all the jokes he made to Aaron about being gay (without realising) I thought we were going to see an outburst of homophobia but he seemed quite supportive. I do wonder though if he was doing it because of his sister rather than actually supporting Aaron and whether he would have been different if it had been someone else's kid. I was also impressed with Cain when he stuck up for Paddy after Chas blamed Paddy for the condition her son was in. Cain was completely right too. Paddy is the one that's always been there regardless of the circumstances and stuck through thick and thin. Although to be fair Chas has made an effort quite a few times and hit a brick wall.

To be honest Chas annoyed me the way she acted towards Paddy at the hospital. I got the impression that there was partial resentment/jealousy there because Paddy did a better job with Aaron than she did even though she is his mother. Also the fact that Aaron could confide in Paddy about being gay so as some sort of defence mechanism she barred Paddy from seeing Aaron to cover up her own failings as a parent.

Chas really annoyed me at the end of the episode. What Cain said to her was right, Paddy was there for Aaron when she wasn't.I'd actually have liked to see him stand his ground but I guess she's the one with all the rights.

Finding Holly annoying as well, it does seem at the moment as though she just doesn't care about anyone. Her mate seems to get on better with her family than she does, but then that's often the case.

Danny Miller = AMAZING!

Danny Miller can really turn on those tears and get the emotions working. Would love to see his character happy but heartbreak and angst can never be far away when he can act those feelings so superbly and better than anyone else. Danny has a tap in each eye im sure of it now, he cries so well!! I say it all the time, but I think he's brilliant!!

I want to shout it from the rooftops how great Danny is. The awards shows will be rendered meaningless to me if his efforts are not rewarded. In my opinion he is the finest actor working in any soap today.

Cain has really impressed me with his attitude for the last few episodes. He was great in the hospital and in the pub where the nosy regulars were sticking their oar in.

The final scene with Aaron and Paddy made whole episode worthwhile. Aaron breaks my heart every time and Danny's acting has been exemplary.

Really looking forward to the rest of the weeks episodes!

I think he might win some good awards in the BSA's 2011 :D

Just a shame the voting already started when his storyline started to heat up!

Yeah I know. He is worthy of winning an award in the future though, for sure! :) He seems to put everything into each of his scenes! :D

Its the British Soap Awards next weekend (8th of May) so it will be shown on ITV1 on 12th of May :D

I thought Chas was a lot better in that episode clearing the air with Paddy and I liked the scene when she was crying by Aaron's bedside. Cain continued to impress me keeping quite about why Aaron tried to top himself when Zak quizzed Chas. Aaron is definitely going to have to talk to someone. Who’s to say he’s not going to try this again when he gets out of hospital. I’m sure the hospital will make it a priority he gets some sort of pysch evaluation as he tried to commit suicide. I’m glad Holly was actually asking about Aaron this time. She seems to have her parents fooled. Dianne was quite brave standing up to Cain but she obviously feels very strongly about what Aaron did. It will be interesting to see how people react when they find out the truth about Aaron. I felt sorry for Eli when he was pining over Olena as he doesn’t seem to have much luck with women.

I was glad that Chas apologised to Paddy and accepted her own shortcomings, although her later spiel to Aaron was probably more likely to have him slitting his wrists than encouraging him.I think the show needs applauding for doing this storyline and showing that even in this day and age being gay isn't always something that's just going to be dismissed as unimportant but I find it very hard to sympathise with Aaron:I can understand why he feels the way he does(even if I don't agree with it for a second)but he's got a lot of people supporting him, more than he deserves, and he still wants to throw it all away. When he said he still wanted to die at the end, my first thought was "Why are you still using that oxygen mask then?"It's certainly true though that no hospital is going to discharge him while he's still suicidal.I'm actually glad the locals adopted a "We're glad he's all right but what he did was still wrong" stance and stood up to Cain when he snapped at them and I'm hoping that if/when the truth comes out they don't fall in with the curious suggestion that it's somehow all right to attack a gay bloke if you're gay yourself.

Holly seems to have abandoned all pretence of not being an addict, to the viewers if not to herself and her family. She was practically begging her friend for her next fix.Liked the little moment where John and Moira acknowledge that Adam knows more about Aaron than he's telling them but decide it's not their place to interrogate him.

Loved the episode tonight, great acting from everyone involved! :D

I loved the Adam & Aaron scene, I thought that was so lovely to see Adam trying to get his best friend to open up & talk to him. Thought the Adam & Aaron scenes were very heartwarming!

And the Chas/Aaron scene - also amazing. I wasn't sure that Chas would fit into the dynamics of the storyline, that's been so subtly and movingly played, but her anger really worked. She said the right things to Aaron, not too keen on how she said it to him but it was out of love and desepration as his mother, & it looks like Aaron did actually listen for one. Plus, of course, Danny knocked it out of the park again.

Aww, Aaron looked so so sad and vulnerable at the end - I bet Danny is all cried out now.

I have never been reduced to taers by a soap before. This storyline has done it several times now.
