Blue eyes is the traditional (Hitler really liked us), but a recent study showed that 1 of 4 people from Oslo are immigrants. There is a fair share of non-western immigrants where I live as well, and brown eyes and other dominant genes are taking over. My sister's boyfriend, my niece's father, in all Norwegian, but has dark hair and brown eyes... Well, it's the dominant gene. My boyfriend's family is all dark-haired with brown eyes, except him, so I guess my kids will be too. My blonde haired, blue eyes genes will have nothing to say.. :P

I suppose in Norway it's less common to have brown eyes, blue eyes are probably more common, am I right?

Over here, there's a bit of a mix, but I think brown is most common just because it's the most dominant eye colour gene.

Don't know about that, but I did read in 'Vi Menn(Us Men' that we're all really from Africa, and that after the ICe age, the blonds came from the north :P - With blue eyes..

I was blond (platina!) untill I was 3, then I started getting this really dark hair, now I have a really light colour [agaiin] (both my parents have black/brown hair, and brown eyes)

But since Terje is blonde with blue eyes too, he mustn't have any more dominant genes to pass on, so I think it's safe to say that if you have kids together, they will be blonde with blue eyes :-)

Wow. I think stuff like this is pretty amazing, how do they know these things? What the hell would lead them to believe that blonde's with blue eyes came from slightly different places or stuff like that.. It's just wierd.

EDIT: Took some quotes out because they were unnecissary(sp?)! :D

When my cousin's daughter was born, she had green eyes and her hair was almost black! Then her hair went almost blonde and her eyes changed to blue. Now she has light to medium brown hair and blue eyes.

It's funny, because some people swear that all babies are born with blue eyes, which is just not true! I was born with brown eyes!

I can't find any pics of here, so I have to see if I can find some around the house tomorrow, or I can take some of her on Wednesday. She's a "pink russ" this year, as it's her last year of kindergarten.

Well, if you look at Scandinavian people, nothern Europeans from cold countries, they are traditionally blonde with blue eyes and are fair-skinned. People from warmer countries have to have darker skin and tend to also have darker hair and brown eyes. How many black or Asian people do you see with blue eyes or blonde hair? Not many at all.

I thought all babys were born with blue eyes, well that's what I've been told! Then they change colour after a while, or sometimes they don't. That's why I think I'm lazy... lol as a baby I couldn't be bothered to change my eye colour, and now I just can't be bothered to do anything :D
