Penie Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 The last thing I read was the OCR Short Stories From Different Cultures anthology for my GCSE English and English Literature exams! Is that in the post 1914 prose section? I have studied Of Mice and Men by Steinbeck for that section. My board for my Literature exam AQA. I'm going to start reading Lord of the Flies. The exams this thursday!!!!
Jess Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Have you not studied the text at all during lessons?!
Penie Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Well i never listened because one day i wasn't there then i just got confused, it was completly my fault but my teacher can't handel the class.
griseknoen Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 I`m reading Dan Brown`s Angels and demons. But should be reading school books
Mez83 Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 My sisters keeper - Jodi Picoult. It's very very good. I reccommend it. It really makes you think.
Emma_B Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 ^ I loved that book. I read another of hers, think it was called The Pact. I am reading "Contemporary France, an Introduction to French Politics and Society". When that gets too much I'm reading Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl by Tracy Quan, but I've nearly finished it.
princess_in_pink Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 At the moment I am re-reading two books again for my English literature exam, they are: 1)To kill a mockingbird bird- fantastic book And 2)Angela’s Ashes
katya Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 To Kill a Mockingbird is awesome. I had to do an essay on that not long ago. I'm re-reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Tom Sawyer for my exam tomorrow. Hopefully my last exam EVER!
princess_in_pink Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 To Kill a Mockingbird is awesome. I had to do an essay on that not long ago. I'm re-reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Tom Sawyer for my exam tomorrow. Hopefully my last exam EVER! I know it is a fantastic book, and a fantastic film. It teaches you so much about intolerance prejudice, Innocence and so much more. I am glad I’m doing this book for my exams rather than of mice and men.
jasonandrobin1996 Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 To kill a mockingbird is one of the greatest books ever written. Right now, I am reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. So far its been good.
