emmasi Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 I finished Prince Caspian. It remained boring. But I think it would translate well to the screen by drawing out a few sentences here and there. I realised that I don't like Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. They're really annoying. All they seem to do is argue, whinge, show off, and cry. I prefer the books where they have little or no involvement. I had planned to read all the Chronicles of Narnia one after the other, but I think I need a break from it after that. Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" has been staring at me for months.
Guest Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Twlight By Stephenie Meyer I'm up to Chapter 11
Luc Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 I rediscovered the 'Teen Power Inc.' series by Emily Rodda - I'm the process of reading the final book 'Dead End' (But of course, it's the one marketed for the American audience, meaning damn words were changed, and this book being made 6th out of the 30 (ruining continuity) ) All in all, I think I'm falling in love with them again
princess_in_pink Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Now that exams are over I can finally start on my list of books to read! Today I picked up another 3 books including The Pact by Jodi Picoult. I've been meaning to read it for a while, but I never got around to reading it till now! Another book on my list is A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hosseini. If his last novel [The Kite Runner, which I absolutely loved] Is anything to go by, then its sure to be brilliant.
