Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I just finished reading this book called Star Trek: In Myth and Legend. It sucked: he got half the details wrong, and he put a lot more thought into some of his analyses that the writers could possibly have, making some of his conclusions a little dodgy.
Laura Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I haven't read a book in ages! And I want to read one I just have no idea what to read. Anyone have any suggestions?
Pierced Musie Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 LITTLE WOMEN!! *ahem* I recommend that. What kind of thing are you into? Crime? Horror? Mystery? Romance? As for me, I'm taking a break from reading for a couple of weeks. I have read about 3 books in the space of 6 weeks, so I need a break !
emmasi Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I am in the middle of "The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie." UGH! I was supposed to read it a week ago for uni, but never got around to it, so now I'm backtracking books through the holiday and I was a fool to start with this one, because it's just crushed what little spirit I had mustered up to read anything else. I don't even know if I want to persevere and finish reading this book. It's just so... awful. I mean the writing is boring, the characters are all horrible, shallow, pointless little snobs that you'd just want to ignore completely if you ever had the misfortune of passing them on the street. Why do people write books like this? Thank the gods it only goes for 200 pages, but even that is about 199 pages too long.

Horror, mystery, romance, comedy So pretty much anything.
Cerise Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I read Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult, Stalked by Kate Brennan and Marley and Me by John Grgan over the last week, and I've just started to read Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult. I've been reading a lot
rachel&kim Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I just found a copy of Nancy Mitford's novels. All four of the best ones in one book! So at the moment I'm on the Pursuit of Love which is fantastic.
Barbara Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Shopaholic Ties the Knot by Sophie Kinsella. I really like it so far.
darlingg Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Does anyone know if 'Catcher in the rye' is good? I've found the Dutch translation but I don't know if I should read it or not.
