Blaxland Wharf (2004-Present)
Description
Having been used various times over the years, including in 1992 for Bobby & Greg’s wedding, this reserve started being seen prominently from 2004 onwards as the Summer Bay wharf where Alf’s boat ‘The Blaxland’ was moored.
Numerous scenes have been filmed on the wharf and the area surrounding the creek, Leah & Dan’s wedding in 2005 and Robbie & Tasha’s wedding in 2006 being particular episodes of note, which make it a recognisable location for many fans of the show.
With ‘The Blaxland’ not appearing as often nowadays, and with an increasing number of scenes being filmed at the Seaplane Wharf in Palm Beach (as well as wharves in Brooklyn throughout 2009), McCarrs Creek hasn’t been a regular feature on screen for a while, though it does still make occasional appearances.
