Fletchers’ City House

Description

In the Pilot episode back in 1988, we were introduced to the Fletcher family in their Sydney home. Tom was retrenched and so the family decided to move out of the city to the coastal town of Summer Bay.

The house used as their city home, seen a fair few times in the Pilot episode, lies in Rozelle, a stone throws away from Sydney’s CBD. Scenes were also filmed at the rear of the house which backs onto Hanover Street.

The same location was also revisited 20 years later in flashbacks, shown in the opening episode of 2008, when Sally’s father and twin brother Miles arrived only to find the Fletcher family had moved a few weeks earlier.
