In an initial tweet on May 5th, and a number of follow-up tweets on May 6th, the entertainment journalist and radio star suggested that Steve, who won Most Popular Actor in April’ss Logie Awards, will be taking a break from Home and Away to star in a movie in the United States, but with the intention to return to the show once filming is complete.

However, this wouldn’st be the first time a cast member’ss departure has been publicly denied on Twitter, only to be confirmed later down the line. And, as has been pointed out on our forum, ‘sany time soon’s is open to debate, especially with episodes filmed many months before they air. Even if Steve were to film his final scenes imminently, Brax would remain on screen for at least the next 4 months.
As of yet there has been no confirmation from Steve or Home and Away, but Peacocke has previously revealed his ambition to star in a Hollywood blockbuster. In an interview in January, he told the Sydney Morning Herald: “‘sEvery actor sets out dreaming of going to Hollywood, so of course I hope I have the good fortune to work there one day.”
“And there’ss no doubt the experience Home and Away gives an actor puts them in good stead to give America a red-hot go.”
We’sll take this with a pinch of salt until anything is officially confirmed, but either way, with Steve still filming, he’ss set to be on screen for some time to come.
